ROBOCORE - Robotic assisted prostate biopsy,
a high accuracy innovative method
- The consortium is proposing a minimally invasive innovative approach
for prostate biopsy, offering high accuracy reliable solutions in
patient diagnosis.
- The goal of the project is developing a system that combines MRI
capability to visualize tumor tissues and precisely define the biopsy
areas, with real-time functionality of the ultrasound. A virtual
reality software will identify the coordinates of the biopsy areas
and the high accuracy robotic system will perform the biopsy procedure.
