Constitutive Projects

Project 1

Development of a robotic system for the intraoperatory treatment of non-resectable tumours

The project aims to develop an innovative robotic system that will enable the targeted intraoperative treatment of non-resecable malignant tumours through brachytherapy and targeted drug delivery.
Project Responsible:

    Conf. Dr. Ing. Calin VAIDA
    (UTCN)

Project 2

Development of minimally invasive robotic assisted treatment techniques through brachytherapy and target delivered drugs for non-resectable hepatic tumours

The project aims to develop new methods of treatment for non-resecable tumours using an innovative robotic system that will apply a minimally invasive focal treatment on the cancerous cell aiming to destroy them of to convert them into resecable tumours.

Project Responsible:

    Asist. Dr. Florin GRAUR
    (UMFCJ)
    Prof. Dr. Ing. Catalin POPA
    (UTCN)

Project 3

Development of a system for the analysis and pattern recognition in medical images for the automation of hepatic tumour diagnosis

The project aims to develop a software program that, based on intelligent algorithms, will enable the automatic identification of morphological modifications enhancing the diagnosis and efficient monitoring of patients with hepatic carcinoma.

Project Responsible:

    Conf. Dr. Ing. Delia MITREA
    (UTCN)
    Prof. Dr. Radu BADEA
    (UMFCJ)

Project 4

Development of innovative techniques for the diagnosis and therapeutic approach for non-resectable hepatic tumours

The project aims to develop an integrates system for the spatial reconstruction of hepatic tumours through the analysis and processing of the hybrid dynamic sequences CEUS-CT, both components aiming to improve the tumour characterization allowing the real-time therapeutic approach adjustment inside the operating room by integrating this system into the complete robotic solution IMPROVE.
Project Responsible:

    Dr. Horia STEFANESCU
    (IRGH)

Project 5

Differential logic hybrid control of the robotic system for the intraoperatory treatment of non-resectable hepatic tumours

The project aims to develop methods of intelligent control for the robotic system based on differential logic algorithms that will prevent the minimally invasive instruments displacement in critical areas to minimize the risks of the robotic assisted intervention.

Project Responsible:

CS. I Dr. Mat. Veturia CHIROIU
    (IMSAR)
